Glock history
In 1986, Glock released the second generation, Glock. With no rail and no finger grooves, it was no-frills by today’s standard. Continuing the forward momentum throughout the decades, Glock released Gen 3 in 1998, Gen 4 in 2009, and Gen 5 in 2017. All three generations are still on the market today.

The magazine capacity of 10 rounds is standard and the highly accurate firing characteristics explain why the G26 Gen4 is the Best amongst all.

The Glock 26 Gen 3 is a great gun to own because you can get this gun used and fairly cheap at gun shows, pawnshops, or online retailers. There are deficiencies in Gen 3, but this could be a great starter gun for concealed carry purposes and to learn how to shoot a pistol.

The Glock 43 is smaller than the Glock 26 due to its 6-round and 7-round single-stack magazines. The Glock 26 is thicker to support double-stack magazines that hold from 10 rounds up to 33 rounds.
